David,

I was wondering what sort of fuel system you are running. ie standard pump,
fuel lines etc.
I have found that when running a single sidedraft webber carb on an L20 that
the fuel system is not up to it under sustained load from 3rd gear upwards
at higher revs. I have fixed this by using an electric fuel pump and 3/8
fuel line from the boot mounted pump to the carb (Read now twin carbs).

my L16 revs fairly hard till 5300 then suddenly throws you back and =
launches forward but only for like another 500rpm then just sits even =
and stops accelerating

I was trying to work out how I can get it to keep pulling after this =
power burst and only thing I could come up with is that's where the cams =
power curve begins but it's not getting enough fuel for those kind of =
revs
am I right?=20
if so does anyone have a set of twin carbs and manifold they want to =
sell?

dunno if this helps you or not but it's an L16 with port matched =
head/manifold, Ivan Tighe cam, 5 spd SSS stanza box and SSS stanza =
4.375:1 diff (but the engine and box is going into another car and will =
have 3.90:1 diff)

thanks guys 'n' gals

Dave
