Chris,
The 2 Dr 510 bluebirds and coupes were never brought into Aus by Nissan but
rather by ppl posted to PNG etc and brought them back as excess baggage. The
embassies here brought a few into Canberra in the 70's, mainly black, L13,
drum brakes etc which turned us off them instantly (d'oh) and the fact that
2 door cars that turned heads in those days were stangs & e37/e49 etc. I
think there could have been a coupe here for a while that I've tried a
couple of time to search the rego records for to see where it went - Datto
heaven probably.
ironic isn't it, these days if I saw a black coupe parked at the Japanese
embassy I'd be in there offering them a stupid amount of money for it.
