Why should it be a bitch to get registered? That should the easy part. If the
car has been build correctly with the basic priciples of saftety adhered to
then it should pass an engineers report easily or with a few minor adjustments.

For the price you're asking it may pay you to get a prelim engineers report
which will either kill your sale or if favourable put a prospective buyer at
ease.
