Melissa,
If that's all it needs, grab it. You will
find a LHF guard and they are easy to fit.
I removed an LHF guard this morning to seal
the indicator light in it. It takes about 30 mins to remove and
replace, if the body is rust free - fortunately this one
is. You dont need to remove either the bumper or the door. Use
a thin ring spanner on the 12mm bolt behind the door then a Phillips head screw
driver or a C spanner when it gets out near the door skin. The screws joining
the guard to the valance panel are the trickiest to remove as you cant
get a good purchase on them. I usually have to grab the threaded side of
each screw with pliers to help them turn. Replace with hex head
screws when refitting.
Be careful not to use too much force on the 12mm
bolt at the lower rear of the guard. This can be rusted in if the sill has
been filled with water, or the car left unwashed and the guard filled with
dirt. If its tight, park the car facing downhill and pump some lubricant
into the sill and try to ease it out. Squirt CRC or similar on the
exposed thread, wind it back in then out a little bit further. Repeat until its
out. If it snaps, drill it out and retap the thread.
