Hi there Everyone Just thought I would share my little Experiance with everyone.
I went to see a 1600 Rally car today and walked into this blokes backyard and he also
had a Datsun 140 Y.
It was Imported direct from South Africa.
It had in it from the factory a L14.
It looks like a 120Y coupe but the rear end has round tailights and it also has a very
cool dash with a 11000rpm tacho as standard, does anyone know wether these things
actually reved that hard??
I thought it was kinda cool anyways.
I Thought It was worth talking about.
He also had another Datto there but unfortunatly I didn't write down wot it was and I
forgot.
But it was a very early datsun coupe that had a east west motor in it and it had wot I
would describe as a very square chopped off rear end.
The engine bay was kinda freaky as there was no shape in it at all.
Where the strutts bolt in is a single straight piece off steel from the firewall to
the grille.The floorpan was also a straight piece (well almost) piece off steel.
There deffinatly wasn't a bigwig designer designing this baby.
