Hey Andrew, thanks for the info, i got the rundown of the engine from scott, and it is basically identical, give or take a few, to what we had decided here, since it is much the same, i was wondering about the turbo u mentioned, if u were to put one on which would u choose and why? We are also wondering whether a supercharger would be more the go? We were also wondering whether or not we would need a spacer plate when dropping the engine in the ute? Date: Thursday, 26 October 2000 21:31 Josh the A14 and A15 are the easiest to fit into a 1200 you can get good hp from these engines aroun 140-150hp with some mods standard A14 is around 80hp The gearbox bolts straight up. If you after more power and a lot more work the CA18 and Sr20 engines also fit the CA18's are easier than Sr and FJ engine because of ther size and weight. Depnds a lot on how much you want to spend and how fast you want to go My CA18det engine conversion owes me around $10k now it has just over 350hp The Old A14 race engine I sold to davo cost me over $4k to build and had 150hp 200 hp would be obtainble from A series with turbo charger setup done right.
