Eddie,

I'm fairly certain that these are off the 240KGT (GC110) - also called a
Skyline GT in some markets eg Japan. They will fit a 510 with some
modifications, most of which are not worthwhile unless you are building a
Sports Sedan for racing or a dirt basher. As you can see by the welding they
were designed to absorb punishment.

I've sent a picture direct of a Skyline GT Sport Sedan.

regards
Terry

Subject: Mystery parts

I've aquired some new (NOS) rear arms, but have no idea what they are for.
the basic arm is the same as a 510 one... dimensions are the same but the
shock mount is totally different and what's more they have big strengthening
plates welded top and bottom between the spring seat and bearing housing.
The lower strengthener is folded round the sides too so the are very strong.
The spring seat is double skinned with a reinforcement cup weld in. The part
number on them is 55501-A7101 which, although sounds like a 510 number,
isn't. Can anybody shed any light on this? My guess is 240K (C110) but I
have no parts info on that. Here are some pics...

Being as how they look to be much stronger than the 510 ones I'm wondering
if, with suitable shock mount mods they can be used... plus they are brand
new and it seems a shame to waste them :-).

Cheers!
