Wouldnt you have to shave the A12 pistons 3.5mm if you were to fit an A14
crankshaft?? As there is a 7mm difference in stroke. Makes me wonder if
the A12 with A14 crank would rev harder due to the con rod length difference
over the A14/15. Now that i think a bit harder the block height difference
doesnt really matter too much if you have a shorter con rod, therefore still
giving a similar capacity as the A14/15 bored out(if u can safely bore them
to 240-260thou!!) , and posibly a few more rpm??
James, my A14 head is around at Jeffs atm and only met him last week. He
seems like a very nice bloke and knows exactly what he's doing when it comes
to the A series. I wouldnt have taken it anywhere else as he built the
engine for Andrew a couple of years back!!! cya's
