The chrome strips on the window sills can be
'pulled" off vertically. They have metal locking crimps under them that grip the
door skin. Feed a thin screw driver under the strip and lift it
upward. Ignore the scraping sound as they come off. Put the strip on by using a
rubber mallet.
The rubber in the window channel is glued in - rip
it all out. Replace using new window (bailey) channel from Clark Rubber.
Your car door will shut like a new one (no rattles).
I forget the sequence, but the windows are
removed by unbolting window winding assembly. I think you also need to
unbolt the window channel guide inside the door, but I cant remember if
this step is necessary.
