This is gonna sound funny but on my L2.0 in the 510
(ie L16 sump) my dipstick reads differently on each side.
Its got nothing to do with my age or eyesight
either... hehe the reading varies by 5mm from one side to the other..
This is not usually a big problem but i have
noticed that it is very touchy in getting the right mix of enough and not too
much oil in the engine.. the last 5 mm when i am filling up the oil is
disproportionate to the lower levels on the stick to the extent that when i get
to about 5mm below the line i have to really slow down the oil or it overfills
by 10mm on the line
but i'm more interested in ideas about why i would
get a different reading on each side of the dipstick..
any ideas ??
cheers
mick
