James,

It all depends on what you want to do.

I run curcuit sprints which is based on timed laps ie the best two
individual lap times you do count to your class points/ranking. Good cheap
racing with classes based on engine capacity and plenty of track time. In
the series I race in you would be in the over 2.5 litre class. If you run
slicks, you are in the racing class where competition is harder.

Club car or sports sedans?
By this I take it you mean the state series. The boys that run in these
categories are pretty serious and it would be hard to do well in either
category unless you have a good budget. Entrance fees and Licence
requirements are much harder for this sort of racing. For me this doesn't
represent good value for money. With a Z18 you would be in the over 3L class
with all the big banger V8's.

If you want to know more the next general meeting is at the Whitehorse inn
bistro, Burwood road Hawthorn first wed of each mth 8pm. I will have all the
forms and cams manual etc there.

Regards
Trev

Hi Trev

Nope not yet... So yes please, send out the paperwork.
2 sets would be cool (other is for a mate, Mick who is doing the
second car) Thanks.

Do you have anything on class rules .. like what we can and
can't do to our cars etc?

Club car or sports sedans? that is the big question...
We can't make up our minds...
and we have to make a decision this week so we can start
prepping the shells... Either way they will be Z18 or Z20 turbos....
Would a Z18et be in a different class to to a Z20et?
or are they both put into over 3L??
Tyres are going to be the budget breakers, and I think they will
ultimately decide what class we can _afford_ to run in....
