If your 180BSSS has a five speed box then the box will go straight in as the only difference will be the shift pattern (the 5 speed SSS has the reverse where first is normally) .  The clutch is the same for both engines but check the clutch throwout carrier for length and put the correct length carrier on the gearbox to match the pressure plate, these can vary in thickness. ----- Original Message ----- From: Matt To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, 24 July 2001 19:51 PM i have a datsun 180b sss & my dad gave me a bluebird series 2 trx 85 model. the clutch is stuff in the trx engine (2L) with the nissan 5 sp & i intend on dropping the engine with the box out at the same time & putting it into my 180b sss . i was just wondering if anyone could tell me what mods i will have to do to the crossmember (if any) and also will the 180b clutch plate fit into the trx engine and gearbox or would i have to get a new plate . thanx alot for your time.
