hi, sounds like that could be it. ( swapped over) my ea falcon has got rear
discs, and when i went to replace the rear pads, (they got the same type
piston that screws in/out) it was getting a bit hard to screw the piston in,
but it was REALLY close so i gently tapped the caliper onto the rotor, but
when i took it for a drive that wheel started smoking cause the pad was
jammed on, so i took it of again, screwwed the pistin in and it was ok
after that.
