how much heavier? i thought the extra weight might be of benefit when it comes to getting a very light car with a powerful engine off the mark. how much is this option roughly?

a vl turbo would be a better option if you were going to go to those extremes
almost as tough as a 9" plus they're LSD, plus they're lighter and there's a lot less power loss through the drive train

my mate got a hilux diff cut down (for his 1200 ute) only cost him $450 as his bearings where in good condition.

i'm using a 4.11 ratio out of a pintara.
1200 ute diffs are ok depends on HP,
matt's sedan (CA18det)  up here has a 1200 ute but are breaking axles runs 12's.
