I have had this problem on numerous datsuns and causes ranged from steering
boxes worn, steering box flexing on the rail where it bolts on, whole rail
delaminating near where the steering box bolts on, worn tie rod ends etc
etc.

I do remember though whatever the cause driving quick is very difficult and
this is what it is all about.
