R31 is 53.5mm diameter and Datto is 39.5mm diameter. I would also: 1. Put a chamfer on the top edge of the adapter ring, so that it slides in easier. 2. Fabricate the ring slightly oversize and then relieve it with a file or whatever so it is a nice fit.
