Justin,

Are we talking HP EFI fuel filter?
Ryco make a multifit HP fuel filter (I don't think the HP fuel filter is
anything special on an unleaded vehicle?) that might be worth a look but
it's designed to be mounted in such a way as the fuel line is in a straight
line, like bolted to a bracket on an inner guard which most Japanese models
don't do (Holden & Ford may). The fuel lines I imagine as supposed to be the
flexible type with standard 17mm fittings on either end to use this filter.

To answer you're exact question i've found that Toyota filters are good to
get from wreckers as most of them are complete bolt on bracket style in the
engine bay and on most models you don't have to cut anything to remove the
filter, bracket and hoses which are metal but you can fit the whole system
to a FJ and I'm not sure on other engines. The filter on a
Cressida/Crown/Supra 5ME engine has the standard screw in fuel connections
from the tank and from the filter directly onto the fuel rail. If you want
to stay pure Nissan then I imagine there are other models (I'd try
Skyline/Pintara) that have much the same deal but I'm not aware of how &
where Nissan bolt in their filters on these.

regards
Terry

Subject: UNLEADED PETROL FILLER

Does anyone know what car I can pinch a unleaded petrol filler off
to suit my 1600? Without too much hacking?
I need one to get it legal in SA.
        Cheers
        Justin
