Title: RE: cruise details - Vic

BUGGER!!!!

That sounds like an excellent run, and I can definitely vouch for all those roads being good drives. But I am moving house this weekend, so i will have to give it a miss. Would have really liked to just go for a fang in the car, and meet some of you people. Anyway, next time.

Someone tale a camera.

    O.K.
9.30am meet up, leave meeting point 10.00am.  We will meet at the garden
Nursery on the corner of Williamson's Rd. and Porter St. Templestowe. (Mel
33 g3).  >From there we will go up to the old Templestowe hill climb, walk up
one bitch of a hill, to see how mad it would have been to drive there years
ago.  It's still got most of the surface there, and even some historic
scrape marks where some poor bugger has bottomed out.
    >From there up through Kangaroo Grnd Warrandyte (route 9), then up St.Andrews
Rd Hwy C728, then onto Heidelberg Kinglake RD C746 (this Rd is mad), then
across Kinglake Healesville Rd C724 (nice cruise), over Melba Hwy, then down
Myers Creek Rd, onto the Maroondah Hwy for a couple of kms, till we get
Healesville Yarra Glen Rd, then onto Old Healesville Rd (another pretty good
dash), then hang a left down Melba Hwy, to pick up Healesville Yarra Glen Rd
again where on the corner there is a park backing onto the Yarra river where
there is (according to the map) BBQ facilities and stuff.  All up, if we
leave at 10.00am, we should arrive at the BBQ area around 12 - 12.30.
We then hang there as long as we want, and those who want to cruise back to
Melbourne in convoy, we will take Eltham Yarra Glen Rd (through Christmas
hills-another pretty good run) back to where we started from.  Those who are
too buggered, can just pick up the Maroondah Hwy, and be back in Melbourne
    in no time.
Our meeting point is not too far from the Eastern Freeway, and is also not
too bad to get to from the Western Ring Rd/Metropolitan Ring Rd.

Already have six people coming along.
    See you there!

    Greg
