List,

I noticed that Mark was fabricating an Airbox for his
Webers. I read an interesting article in Autospeed the
other day where they talked about runner length for
Webers. Runner length was critical but would need to
be variable to suit the different rev ranges. This is
what BMW and other exotics are currently using on
their cars these days.

The upshot was in a Weber application, that the best
increase in HP figures were acheived by firstly using
a rounded end on the ram tubes followed by using an
airbox, for the purposes of the test they used a
Cardboard mock up. They stated that the filter socks
and the majority of aircleaners were not benificial to
better performance.

Has anyone done any work/experimentation in this area
???

Cheers
"Fergy"
