Hamish,

On a 4.5" rim you can fit 175/70x13 tyres which do 918 revs per mile which
is all but the same as 155SR13. The speedo on wagons with the 155 tyres
reads slightly high with the stock 4 speed and 5x17 speedo drive (black) and
all but spot on with 165SR (886rpm) on 4.5" or 185/70 (898 rpm) on 5.0-6.0"
rims. As long as you have the correct speedo drive in now then if you fit
175/70 then there will be very little change.

regards
Terry

Subject: Tyre sizes

List

I am wanting to put some little bit wider tyres on my 1600. Im
thinking of
175/75/13 or 185/70/13 what is the same as the standard 155/13 that
came on it because it is a wagon. (jap made)
If jap made 1600 came with 155/13 and oz made 1600 came with 165/13
did they still use the same diff ratio and speedo cable ratio ?

Thanks
Hamish
