As it turns out the diff wasn't gone this time, it was the tailshaft had worked it's way loose and was about to drop.
Mal, I know what you're thinking, but I'm not a wheel spinning, burnout and donut freak :) Having the diff locked and being able to leave two 7" black sticky tracks out of slow second gear corners with R Spec tires *will* cause diff failures, I promise. TR, yep particularly the 160's so split like water melons, I only threw one of my shed with the side bearing holder blown right out!
