unfortunately. Generally old Datsuns aren't worth a great deal here and the
fact this one is a Japanese spec SSS wouldn't interest many people. I guess
a really good 510 would fetch maybe �2000 here but there's only about half a
dozen people who would want one that I know of.

All 510's are rare here. This is how many are still on the road in the UK...

L13 - 4 door - manual .... 6
L14 - 4 door - manual .... 5
L16 - 4 door - manual .... 2
L16 - wagon - manual ... 4

Pretty rare, eh? I expect there are at least this many again that are
sitting in garages and barns abandoned but that still isn't a lot of cars.

It's the one and only 510 SSS in the UK! The present owner bought it new

in

Japan in 1969 while he was posted there (not sure what service he served

in)

and shipped it back here shortly after (it's registered 1972).

Apparently

it's spent most of it's life in a garage and the milage is still very

low.

This picture was taken in Germany whilst the owner was posted there.

510's are very rare here so it's amazing to see a genuine SSS model. I

hope

to get a chance to see this one in the flesh sometime and get some

better

pictures.
