Ive used the castrol r synthetic for a while in turbo L series and it seems to
work fine and holds good oil pressure when compared to the mobil full
synths. The mobil is designed for close tolerance multi valve engine and has a
low hot viscousity rating while the castrol has a 50 hot rating which is what
is recomended for most older 2 valvers.Penrite have just released a new full
synth 5/60 aswell as the race series 15/40 and 25/60 synths. There sales rep
told me they are the most advanced oils around!!!!! Apparently there doing a
bit of an advertising blitz aimed at the growing performance turbo crowd.A lot
of people in the drag racing industry already use these oils as there ten
tenths race synth is compatable with methanol etc.
