Kristian, check out http://kmhafer.homestead.com/datsun510.html for some good information on r160's. I've used a 3.7 LSD R160 behind my (close to stock) FJ DET for quite a while and it's still going OK, but wouldn't stand up to punishment like an R180 or an R200 that's for sure.
