I'd love to do it, but heard that entry was ~$5,000. Add accomodation, fuel, tyres, repairs, transport and you'd need $7-10,000 to have a half proper go. That'd pay for a lot of speeding tickets!
Also there is a Targa NZ which is not a 'classic' rally so you can run WRX's and modified vehicles. It is probably cheaper than the real Targa! 2.6 Modifications permitted in Group 1MS 2.6.1 Engine changes will only be permitted with the approval of the organisers, and using an engine from the same manufacturer, and from a vehicle within the same category.
So I guess the real question is when the FJ20 engine first come out?
