Mention of Dale's dad reminds me of a funny incident that my co-driver
(Brian Moore) and I experienced with Campbell's driving back in the 70's when he
was flogging Toyotas. He took us for a spin in one of the "new" opposition Toys
to show us how it's done on dirt out in the Brindis and promptly lost the thing
big time on us. Needless to say we stuck with the Dattos.

My mate has a brother who races v8s, his name is Dale Brede. He started in go karts, then formula ford etc etc I guess if you watched TV during the GMC in Canberra or even follow the v8s you'd know of him.
His dad, Campbell Brede, owns National Capital Motors here in Canberra. I am sure he is a good driver etc but it sure helps to have someone pay for you. ie Daddy
