The SSS air box is probably small for a race engine but adequate for a road
car. The volume given is for a race plenum used on 2 litre touring cars
The main problem would be the distance to the opposing wall unless you had
really short ram tubes.

Errol,
I was planing on cutting up a 510SSS air box for the twin webers, and
changing the square air intake to a big round (3") one and running a
tube to under the rad .
Going by your 2.5x engine size it wont be big enough?
I never used any sort of air box before just air horns,I biffed the
socks as too mesy looking,Plus a C&^t at tunning time(every two weeks)
