Bought from auction and before you buy one, do you know how to convert or have access to the equipment needed?  Don't get caught out it is a big job.  I grew up with Land Rovers, Range Rovers and Triumphs and have access to an engineering workshop.  Happy to help though if your old mean needs a hand fixing his Rangie (off list of course)

where are you situated Wayne
 
If you locate your local auction house that handles wrecks, you can get very cheap written off HSV's.  Just pull out the engine and ECU etc and fit to yours.  I just helped a good mate fit a 255kw HSV motor to his Range Rover.  Bought the wreck for $1500!  Just make sure you keep the original engine number and notify the Transport Dept and supply receipts etc or you will attract dramas.

    Off topic. Im sorry, but you guys & gals sure know alot.
 
Any one know of a decent commodore wrecker or importer of CHEV V8's. (sorry for that dirty V* word)
it seems that the VH commode has shit its donk and i need a replacement. EFI V6 or V8 is the go.
