Just from looking at the diagram, wouldnt it be the smaller the backspace the bigger the caliper can be? Simply because B+C = Backspace and from the diagram B looks to be the part between the offset and the inside edge of the wheel.

I am not sure what the last measurement is but it seems pretty important when fitting bigger calipers.. I read the article and it was fairly informative. Thankyou. the offset is the difference of the backspace and total rim width? with the centre of the rim being 0 offset??? So if i have an offset which pushes the mounting point of the hub/wheel further out from the car it means the wheel may touch the strut etc, however if i go the other way the wheel may touch the guards? The problem i have now is finding a wheel with a centre mounting point which is raised above the front of the wheel. So i can mount a caliper which will not touch on the front of the rim's face. Know of any off the top of your head Terry? cheers again --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- Yahoo!
