Hi Mark, Pretty much as we thought, they're probably connected to the either the blue or brown "accessory" wire that powers the ciggie lighter, radio etc or the other possibility is the heater fan wires. Either way, that shouldn't by itself cause the problem that you have but I think without running some meters on the car, we're pretty much not going to solve this one via email.
