I put the 202 back in it on the w/end after a long drawn out rebuild only to find the starter isn't working properly, it spins freely but doesn't engage with the flywheel, could it just be stuck? I turn the ignition around to start and nothing happens however if I short the starter out it spins fine (still doesn't engage with flywheel though). Is it possible I have cooked something whilst shorting out the starter? I tried testing things with my multimetre but don't know what the hell I should be testing!? There appears to be only three wires going from the ignition to the starter, two of those run straight to the positive side of the starter and I cant work out where the third one goes. I realise this is way off the Datsun mark, but am hoping that some of you might have some ideas or advice you would be willing share.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
