Ok, i have also got two 12 inch davies craig thermo fans, is this a suitable combination? do you think the fans will fit,they are fairly thin no more than 10-15cm thick.. thanks

My suggestion would be to get a three core radiator in the std top and bottom tanks, this way you know it'll fit and according to others they sware by a good three core radiator job.
