hi, what u do is just very slowly undo a flare nut fitting , just till the gas starts to escape, then undo it a little more, then leave it to all escape. when there is no more gas escaping , undo it slowly till the fitting comes of.( some times there still might be some gas left , as u undo it, if there is, just wait till the noise stops , then repeat the process.)
i THINK that if it has been filled with the newer gas ( r134a) it should be okay to let it vent out to the atmosphere, cause its more ozone friendly. just do the job in ya back yard , or go out some where ( out bush, unpopulated) and let the gas out , but wait 15 mins till all the gas has disperesed. mark k ----- Original Message ----- From: "james wade" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, October 28, 2002 8:51 PM Subject: RE: Removing air-con from 200b > Not to mention how bad it is for the environment... > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:membersozdat_owner@;datascribe.com.au] On Behalf Of James > Morrison > Sent: Monday, 28 October 2002 8:36 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: Removing air-con from 200b > > > DONT TOUCH THE GAS, get a pro to do it, if its the original gas its very > dangerous (if it comes in contact with flame it becomes mustard gas like > they used back in the old wars).
