Any of those downdraft webers with A in their code are auto choke, some water and some electric. XLE Cortina was a small car with a falcon engine in it, no revs but max torque by 1600 rpm so it pushed a 2.78 diff real well - they still have a bit of a following over in Aus, kids put Tickford XR6 and V8 engines in them and there's one in the next suburb to me with twin turbos of some sort on it - now that's what I call wicked. The original one was quite comfy and performance wise a good match for the 6 cylinder Toadrunners of the day.

DGAV? is that the late model one with the water choke??
I had a TC/D? cortina a few years back XLE wicked car 4.1cc 1976 model(bla bla bla)

Now if you plant to run a weber down draft the only one to play with is off the V6 3000cc Mk1 Capri
Not Zepher.
The Capri 3000GT,3000E  has the 40x40 double pumper carb.Yes both butterflys open at the same time allways..none of this vac driven secendry stuff.

Kris,

Weber DG(A)V main jets are unusual as they are the same PN as the idle jet in DG(A)S (Ford Falcon with Yamaha head), DF(A)V, (Capri 3000), and IDA (Mazda RE). You should be able to get them new from carbie specialists. The DGAV carbie was found on some Cortina 2L engines in the TC, TD & TE models, not sure on TF's.

Terry

Morning all,
Just wondering if there are any other Webers that have interchangable jets/tubes for the DGAV, if so, what cars can i find them on?

Thanks,
               Kris.
