Verada discs & VL Turbo calipers on 1600 or early 180b struts is the popular
one.  The caliper bolt spacing is 75mm, so this does mean that you can use
the late model VT+ twin spot calipers (which are pretty darn big) so long as
they will clear your swaybar/steering linkages - which depends on your car
and whether you mount the caliper to the front or back, and I've seen them
fit under 15's.  Check out publications like Unique Cars - HSV strip the
stock ones and flog them off cheap when they fit up the Brembo or Harrop
upgrades.  You will probably need to space the pads to make up for the
narrower Verada disc though.

hi, i`ve   sorta    decided on putting a commodore disk brake front end on
my 1600.


 has anybody done this?

 i found sum stuff  on the net, and they said that the commodore caliopers
will bolt up to the existing mounts, is this true?

what model commodore  brakes would i have to use?   can i use late model
brakes from say a vs,vt,vx commodore.?

any more info?
