Dave Yes they are RWD, but they use a mid engine set up, which is essentially the same as a FWD set up just moved to the back of the car. The MR2's use a east-west engine, not a north south set up.
Very few realistically priced cars use a North south mid engine and RWD, really only things like Ferrari's and the like do this and normally with V6's and V8's.
