Help!!-Not exactly Datto related

Hi I've just bought a "rural' acre of land and I really need a 4WD. If I can get one cheap the minister of finance has said I can keep my Datto!!!  Woohooo!! The thing is ...  I have been offerred a 1985 Holden Rodeo LS really cheap... Does anyone know anything about these guys? Its a large cab type but still 2 seater and it has the long(ish) rear tray Model No KB 49S Manufactured 9/85 1800cc petrol engine (I think its 1800) Would appreciate any knowledge - off list. Particularly interested about the strength and durability of transfer cases and 4wd stuff.. BTW About 10 mins drive from this land is a section of road about 10kms long and it has these funny signs posted... BLACK CIRCLES with a BLACK LINE across them.  Its a strange road cos it goes up and down hills and has lots of corners too.. Anyone want to help me investigate??  Haha!!
