kinda off topic SR20de info (in S13)

I was just wondering if anyone knew what all the gear was under the bonnet on the right hand side (when standing at the front of the car) that has a vacuum diaphram leading to a little plastic box which then connects to the pod filter via a hose before the MAF sensor.
