I think they use detectors in citys, i went around the other night with my friends one, past some banks ( alarms emit similar radiation ) and i was getting signals everywhere ( had the sensitivity at max ). then, im driivng on a quiet road, no shops with alarms in site, and i got a hit as i drove past a black SS. i wasnt speeding or anything, but i think he may have had a detector detector, cause he then followed me for a long time, maybe he was checking again and again? as soon as i got the signal and saw the car i switch the thing off. but he didnt actually pull me over, just followed.
