I would forget a second hand/donor car setup.
All you are getting is a tired master cylinder.
You can buy a new hydraulic master cylinder
which is already threaded to take brake line fittings at both the input
(normally the reservior) and output ends. Set this up behind a hand brake
lever and mount it on the tunnel. Then fabricate a brake
line replacing the original front to rear, running it to the
input of the new handbrake m/cyl. If you have a double flairing tool
you can cut the original front to rear line leaving enough pipe from the rear
to fit it into the outlet of the hand brake m/cyl. This
saves a bit of brake pipe and one flair.
I fitted new brake lines to the hydraulic
hand brake, running them inside the body as extra protection from damage by
squashing by rocks or being torn off - it can happen.
The M/cylinder costs about $40 and the pipe
replacements about $20 each, or less. Fabrication of a braket to hold the
handbrake master cylinder and handbrake lever is up to
you.
