There were two sizes.  Earlly imports 67/8 models had the smaller dia.  Mark is probably right at 20mm.  Later models 69/72 had the larger dia.  Maybe 25.mm?  (I didnt think it was this big a difference)    1600 rally car builders used to swap the early drag link, tie rods and all ball joints to the later versions for the extra strength,  Early drag links were known to bend under hard use ie rough tracks at high speed.  (Hitting the odd inside/outside embankment didnt help).  Some builders welded angle iron along the drag link to stiffen it, this usually meant the tie rods bent instead.  ----- Original Message ----- From: Mark Firman To: membersozdat@datascribe.com.au Sent: Saturday, June 04, 2005 8:16 PM Subject: Re: Thread Diameter Never measured one, but from memory the ones i've seen have been about 25mm OD...
