Release notes are available at http://code.google.com/p/memcached/wiki/ReleaseNotes144 This release is a minor bugfix release to restore backwards compatibility to a number of clients. Clients should be updated to the latest protocol as soon as possible, but we want to not surprise people in the middle of the 1.4 series as much as posssible.
