I have exactly the same problem since months, and we set up a cron job to restart memcached after every crash... I went from 1.4.0 to 1.4.5 and it still crashes (daily crash). Will it be in the next release ?
I feel confident on this patch but i never patch any program... If someone has a nice tutorial to help me, i will try on my own.
