Hi, I got a strange problem for about 3 days now. My memcached cluster is working since 2012 summer without any problem but now out of blue memcached flush command is not working "sometimes" and there is no error nothing. I've playing around and here what i've found.
1. When i submit new post memcached has to flush it self but i does not "sometimes". I'm checking flush counts and again "sometimes" its counting other its not. Either wat not flushing 2. If i got this situation i try telnet connection and use "flush_all" result is same its not flushing 3. After a while of doing nothing it starts working again, flushes cache and counting flush 4. Never had a set or get problem. 5. Tried to restart "memcached service" couple of times and even restart did not fix the issue I've no clue what caused this but i've change IP addresses last weekend. I dont think thats a problem because memcache is working on localhost with "-l 127.0.0.1" Also i cant be sure because this error occurs 4 5 times in a day its not consistent i mean. Server has 16 GB of ram and using Php 5.3.14 and Lighttpd 1.4.31 Memcached version is 1.7.4 Any idea can be usefull.
