The php-memcached<https://github.com/php-memcached-dev/php-memcached#building>package ships with a test suite. Simply run `make test' after the standard `phpize', `configure', & `make' steps. Ensure that the daemon is running, and adjust tests/config.inc<https://github.com/php-memcached-dev/php-memcached/blob/master/tests/config.inc>as needed.
