Hey, Take a look at the doc/new_lru.txt file included in the source tarball.
(https://github.com/memcached/memcached/blob/master/doc/new_lru.txt for the lazy) The LRU-ish algorithm was updated a few versions ago. This documents its behavior thoroughly.
