Hi,

The release of the Fedora RPMs uncovered a file descriptor handling
bug on the x86_64 architecture when using the -d and -P flags with
threads enabled.

I checked in a workaround.

Here's the backtrace:

(gdb) bt
#0 event_base_set (base=0x16ac1, ev=0x51b550) at event.c:522
#1 0x0000000000407aa1 in thread_init (nthreads=4, main_base=Variable
"main_base" is not available.) at thread.c:265
#2 0x0000000000403cb9 in main (argc=Variable "argc" is not available.

I suspect that something file-descriptor related is happening. Anyone
have any idea why this breaks? Thanks
