Is it possible to have a cache miss even if the value exists (given there's no problem with the network and the server loads are under control)?
There is no guarantee that you'll get a value back after storing it. You should never rely on values being in the cache.
On an isolated server with a single client that adds a single value, it *should* be there if you try to get it immediately afterwards, but you should generally assume a cached value may not be there.
