2) The execution path has been cleaned up from the earlier rework
of the TCP stack for multi-interface.
I believe you will find it much cleaner now.
One thing to note... it would be nice to make sure that the dropped
privs is still working. I think it... but it would be good for
someone else to double check the logic.
