Agreed. We store byte arrays. What is in the byte arrays is up to the application.

JSON is at this point a best practice for objects that need multi- language support, but it is not the business of the drivers to enforce this.

BTW if there is a need for a C JSON library that just does JSON, I am interested in that (since at some point in the near future I am going to need one).
